Stephanie Ioannou - Profile
Stephanie Ioannou

Stephanie Ioannou, MA, RBA (Ont.), BCBA

Registered Behaviour Analyst & Clinical Apprentice

Stephanie is committed to helping people understand their struggles within their broader life contexts and build tools that meaningfully improve day-to-day well-being. She is a doctoral candidate completing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Fielding Graduate University. She holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Applied Disability Studies, and an MA in Clinical Psychology. She has been a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst since 2014 and is a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). Stephanie works under our supervision as she works toward further registration with CPBAO as a clinical psychologist. As an advanced graduate student, Stephanie is expanding her professional skills, but draws upon a wealth of experience.

Stephanie supports children, adolescents, and adults, including first responders, with concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other social-emotional concerns. Her doctoral training has included work in private practice, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in Toronto, and the Peel District School Board, where she has grown a strong foundation across community, hospital, and school settings. She also has specialized experience in assessment and therapy for people with neurodevelopmental differences, including autism, intellectual disability, and ADHD, who may also be experiencing mental health concerns. Her work is grounded in a neuro-affirming and gender-affirming approach that respects each person’s identity and lived experience.

Stephanie provides a warm, non-judgmental, trauma-informed approach. She helps clients build insight into their patterns, understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and develop practical skills they can use in their day-to-day lives. She is trained in evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and mindfulness-based methods.

She provides psychological services under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist while working toward registration as a psychologist with the CPBAO.
