Parisa Chavoshi - Profile
Parisa Chavoshi

Parisa Chavoshi, MSc, MPsy, RP (Qualifying)

Psychotherapist & Clinical Apprentice

Parisa holds two graduate degrees: a Master of Science in Psychology from Western University and a Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. She has extensive experience supporting individuals and couples across hospital, private practice, and community mental health settings.

Parisa has supported individuals experiencing obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety within an intensive treatment program at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Parisa supports clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, depression, difficulties managing emotions, low self-esteem, confidence and self-worth concerns, sleep difficulties, adult ADHD, grief and loss, postpartum adjustment, life transitions, and relationship or interpersonal challenges.

She has a particular passion for couples therapy and enjoys supporting partners as they deepen emotional connection and improve communication. Her work with couples is grounded in helping partners feel heard, understood, and emotionally supported, especially during periods of disconnection or stress.

Parisa believes therapy looks different for everyone. Some clients come seeking practical tools to manage distress, while others want a space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves. She meets clients with warmth and curiosity, and works collaboratively to develop a treatment plan that can evolve as needs change.

She draws from CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, and mindfulness-based approaches, tailoring her work to each client or couple. CBT focuses on unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns, ACT supports accepting internal experiences while moving toward what matters most, DBT builds skills for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and EFT supports emotional connection in relationships.

She offers a non-judgmental space where clients can explore thoughts and feelings openly, including those that may have been held privately for a long time.

Parisa offers therapy in both English and Farsi. She provides services as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) while working toward registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She practices under the supervision of registered psychologists. For more information about supervised psychological services, please click here.
